Depending on the breadth of the strip at the back the strength of the worktop material chosen and the weight length of the sections to either side of the sink it may or may not be feasible to make. We would advise strongly against it. This is because of the way the sinks are positioned as undermounted solutions. Traditional butler sinks sit beneath the worktop so the three sided hole must be polished just like the polished cutout for an undermount sink.

In answer to your question belfast sinks are not commonly recommended with laminate worktops. Undermount sinks install on laminate counter tops differently than on granite or stone. With a traditional style and light colour this ceramic sink will beautifully complement darker coloured surfaces like our black granite solid laminate worktop. If water gets into the sealed edge of the laminate worktop then it will just blow swell the worktop as you would have to cut and re edge laminate when fitting it next to the sink.
