This set sounds way to bright to my ears as though rykodisc mastered it for cd and then plopped it onto vinyl almost as an afterthought.
I was hoping for a nice fold out single piece like the moody blues time traveler or abba s box set or anything in one piece for the mantle.

It is not really a best of set it is more of a sampler of songs from all of bowie s albums from 1969 to 1980.
When rykodisc aquired the rights to david bowie s record catalog they preceded the release of his actual albums with this box set.
